The philosophy and values involved in the design create a sense of timeless home-like healing qualities. Building upon the premise of Charles E. Smith Life Communities/Cohen Rosen House is the leader and provider of choice innovative services; the design of this environment is based on the layering of the resident’s life stories. Incorporating Judaic traditions and historical continuity is part of making Cohen-Rosen House a home. The idea is to shed new light upon the residents through daily life activities that will connect them to each other, their families, as well as their caregivers. The common areas of the home are portrayed in an open plan which not only provides residents easy accessibility, but connectivity through socialization.
