A.G. Rhodes Cobb | Marietta, GA
Centrally located in Marietta, Georgia, A.G. Rhodes Cobb opened its new skilled nursing and memory care building. THW Design Interiors was commissioned to design the community expansion and renovation in collaboration with Brock Hudgins Architects. The campus features a progressive approach to memory care and highlights AG Rhodes’ innovative horticultural therapy program.
The new facility embraces a “household-model” design, providing a warm and welcoming environment for its 72 memory care residents. Alongside this, the existing building has been thoughtfully renovated to convert all double rooms to private rooms, enhancing residents’ lifestyle and living experience. Both buildings prioritize comfort and dignity with private rooms, fostering a sense of home.
The community is equipped with modern amenities, including a community kitchen and dining room, cozy living areas, sunrooms and porches, beautiful rehab and memory gardens, and a rehabilitation gym. This design significantly departs from the traditional hospital-like atmosphere of most long-term care facilities, promoting a more person-centered approach to care.
A.G. Rhodes Cobb serves as a pioneering model for future nursing homes, showcasing how to convert double rooms into private spaces, improve the quality of memory care, and enhance preparedness for disease outbreaks. Discover a new standard in skilled nursing and memory care where residents can thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment.
